Does Cinema 4D not have a very good rendering engine or something?&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>There is a Maxwell version for the same reason (flexibility) that you have a V-Ray version, Brazil, Oxygen, etc. You don't need to use the OOTB rendering engine if you need a special item that can be accomplished easier with the others.&lt;BR /&gt;
It is the same with any professional 3D Modeling Package.</description>

Just kidding, I know what you mean.  Your right.  Even if all things were equal, it would still be an advantage to use other rendering engines.</description>
