Can one apply different material half way a wall?

I would love to do know how to do that if it's obtainable.

You can do this with a profiled wall. Simple walls would have to be stacked.

Edit: Another trick would be to make a material with a texture set to the colors and pattern you want.

Matthew refers to the Complex Profile function where a fill defines a wall shape, allowing separate material surfaces.
