Thanks for your help. I made a circular slab and applied my circular texture then saved it as a library object as a vertical disc.

<T>I have a circular logo I need to apply. I tried using a tube for the object. Whenever I create a texture it's square and I cannot place it on either the end of a tube or a circular slab.
Is it possible to create a circular form and apply a circular texture?</T>

You will always have a rectangular texture - the shape of any digital image. It easily maps to a circular surface. There are ways to make the corners invisible by masking - use a layered .png with a white background for instance. Your experience notwithstanding, a rectangular image on a circle will work fine.

Any texture maps to a surface. If you are having difficulty with position, use the Design>Align 3D Texture command.

Some archaic objects have bad mapping - the ends of cylinders, for example. A big mess. Use slabs or custom profiles instead.

It comes to me that the circle application presents novel challenges i overlooked in the last post. So here's a solution for positioning on a circular surface.

The problem is that a circular surface lacks a corner to align the texture against. Duh. Like that old ethnic joke.

My texture is 1x1 m.
My slab is 1x1. m.
The ends are bulged to .5m radius.
Easy to map to a node using the Align 3D command.
Then edit the slab to a circle by shifting nodes to the centerline between the nodes.
Now you have a circle on a face.
