How do you think it compares with Artlantis? Lumion appears to come with a lot of shaders and textures.

i just looked at results ...

very impressive lumion movie, very smooth..
basically you work in a rendered environment... big graphic card is needed it..
i noticed a short learning curve also !!

i cannot really compare them..not too conversant in artlantis and i havent driven lumion, i dont qualify.... but love that stuff !!

(but i could compare revit and archicad for you !!?? .. just kidding mate!!)
Wow!! That takes real-time preview to a whole new level.

Still, Artlantis makes more sense to me for architecture, and ArchiCAD in particular, due to the 'reference file' technology which allows a model to be continuously updated while retaining all scene setup.

But, I do want that animated cat. <E>🙂</E>

Sounds like a shill, I suppose, but seriously: Artlantis has workflow integrated with ArchiCAD; Lumion doesn't. Prices are similar. So, I was seriously asking why someone might consider using Lumion instead... <E>🙂</E>

Just viewed Artlantis.
very impressive!
Did not realize it was an animated program,
thought it was more like Piranesi.
Very Cool!

Was asking about Lumion, because I came across it on the Net,
and was impressed with their video. But now seeing Artlantis
and seeing that it's compatible with Archicad, I would diffinetly go this route.
So let ME be a shill for Artlantis:

If you are on this thread because you are sort-of interested in better Archicad rendering and are looking at the range of intermediate tools in the market, go to Artlantis first since it has a great connection to Archicad for export and revision stages, is a fast worker and has superior lighting quality [to list only three qualities]. And, a great fully-functional demo where you only need cut off the bottom logo for a real rendering.

Don't waste time auditioning things like Lumion because Artlantis serves Archicad users better.

We will soon face a new wave of rendering products that change the game: products reliant on the GPU that prove to be faster and more detailed in all areas. They'll need a much larger card <S>[i run a 2Gb video card for mine]</S> but they preview instantly. Tremendous potential.
