Cannot load a texture from Library 12

This happened suddenly and I cannot discover why or how to get around it.

I had some walls and column bases with a ROCKLEDGE material that was a CSTONE10 texture. It now comes in as an external wall texture and I cannot reload the texture within the material settings dialog box. When I search for the texture no preview shows up. I have gone directly to the (TIMG TEXTURES 12 folder in the ArchiCAD 12 program folder and the jpg textures are there. I just cannot get the material settings to link up with them or show a preview of them.

I have removed the ArchiCAD 12 library in the file manager and reloaded it but that had no effect.

I have opened other project files and this now happens in them as well.

Any Ideas?

Not sure exactly what you're saying.

First, what version of AC and on what OS/platform are you running into this problem?

When you say CStone10 - I assume you really mean "CStone 10.jpg" (the library has a space before the '10')...

And, ArchiCAD does not support external textures - other than those loaded with Library Manager individually or via a parent folder or container. So, when you say 'external', I have to wonder if you your other textures are embedded ((meaning you are running a version of AC newer than 12)?

Maybe you can post screenshots of what Library Manager says is loaded, and of Attribute Manager set to the Materials tab and showing the problematic material?

Thanks for your reply.

I am running AC 12 on a pc with windows xp.

I was indeed referring to CStone 10.jpg

If I go to the (TIMG) Textures 12 folder in the ArchiCAD 12 program folder all of the jpg images are there. I can go throughout the folder and see all of the images.

When I go into the material settings dialog box many of the jpg images do not show up as previews. Both the upper box and the larger "Search" box are just a white background regardless of which texture I select. Again I can look through different materials and some show up but many others do not. None of the CStone images show up.

This showed up right after I had to do a reboot. ArchiCAD froze up while there was an upgrade of quicktime running in the background. Nothing short of a reboot would get things going.

Sorry if I am unclear in my descriptions but I am working near the limit of my computer literacy here.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
