You'll have to get ArchiCAD 14 or VBE

<T>I hope I am wrong, but does anyone out there know how to do what is so easy on Sketchup: showing shadow lines for a specific date and latitude using Archicad? It seems like it would be so easy, but I can't for the life of me find a way to see where the darn shadow lines will be from the roof edges and from the adjacent building. I'm using a Windows Version of Archicad 13</T>

You will want to go int the VIEW menu > 3D VIEW MODE > 3D PROJECTION SETTING and then press the MORE SUN button.

I am not sure if the North direction can be set here in version 13.
If not then that is in OPTIONS > PROJECT PREFERENCES > LEVELS & PROJECT NORTH.

Your adjacent buildings will need to be modelled if you want to see the impact of their shadows on your model (or vice versa).
And: There's a trick where you render the sun study in LightWorks where the other buildings can cast colored shadows to differentiate their shadows from the new project's shadows.

We discussed this long ago. Uses the Shadow Caster Shader.

I've created sun studies in Archicad 13 already, but I want to see the shadows while I move around in the model. Also there are no shadows cast by the roof onto the walls and I can't figure out why that is the case.
