<T>Seasons Greetings to all,

HELP !!
I have been doing freelancing for an Acad office, where I do my work in ArchiCAD and export to dwg.

The following issue has come up.

When the Acad office opens up my dwgs, they find that they cannot do basic things such as:

Move a wall over

Redimension anything. When they pick on an individual dimension, the whole dimension string lites up.

Change a window size within a wall.

Change window position within a wall

When they pick on a wall, everything lights up, the wall contour lines, the window within, the hatch, everything !

I have been saving everything directly from the ArchiCAD model, without exploding anything. Do I have to copy to another layer and explode everything to 2D lines in order for them to be able to make changes on my dwgs without having to call me for any change ?

TIA

Try exporting with "explode complex ArchiCAD elements" on.

additional to this you can set-up the translator to export the windows/doors as blocks to special layers
