Building Survey software for as built plans

Is there any software that could be used while surveying a building in order to draw as built plans?
I was thinking of having a laptop with a touchscreen, while being on site and putting down distances on a plan already drawn in AC.
Something interesting that i found is shown in the next link where there is a software based on Autocad, and it automatically adds distances via a laser bluetooth measurement tool, on the plans..
