You will probably have to upgrade.

It is pretty problematic with alle these new versions?

I don't understand the question. Each version has brought significant improvements.
.....well, since you seem to be a Maxonform user as well, might I suggest also trying the Cinema4d plugin for Maxwell (for C4D version 9-9.6), since Maxonform uses the same plugins as Cinema4D. I've heard of some users running Maxwell this way with some success.

That way you can run your renders through Maxonform as well, as I would assume you're comfortable with the Maxonform interface. Not the most ideal workflow, but it could work and save you from having to upgrade ArchiCAD (although I don't understand why you wouldn't want to.

The plug-in which worked with MX 1.5 also works with ver 1.6.1 you just cannot utilize latest improvements/fixes like grouping emmiters, animation etc. Unfortunatelly it is not avaible for download anymore (I can send it to you), but recently I asked at the MX forum for AC9.0 <-> MX 1.6 plug-in and one of the colleague was so kind and built one for me. It works fine and I think he will be happy to share it. Check this topic and send him PM.
