We get our surveys in 3D AutoCad. Is there a way to import the file and preserve the "Z" coordinates?

I believe ArchiTerra can do that for you.

ArchiTerra will open the 3D and create a topo mesh on top.

Check it out - it works.

only works with DXF files though...

We're getting DWGs coming through the door and have no way of bringing them into AC...

For the conversion, use True DWG Convert. Free download from Autodesk web site
