Could it be something to do with the setting of Doors?
Please check that the Floor Plan display of those Doors is set to "All Relevant Stories", see if that changes anything.

Revit door families in plan are typically represented with 2d symbols.
Maybe you only got the 3d model from the IFC import.
If that was the case, you have to redifine the door familiy (object?) to add the panesl and swing arcs.

Then another setting to check is it the Door is set to "Projected" or "Cut" or "Symbolic" and whether setting it to something else makes any difference.

Folks...have tried all of your suggestions and to no avail at getting the doors/windows to represent themselves properly in 2D plan view.

Anyone else have any other ideas? I'm up for trying anything at this point.

Does the Revit end of the equation need to "save out" their settings in a different way?
Is there a toggle or button or something in revit IFC export that allows the doors to be shown in 2D plan view?

thanks.

Have you tried viewing the IFC between applications to see where the breakdown occurs? If you can inspect it through an IFC viewer (I'd recommend Solibri), then at least you get an idea of whether it's a poor export from Revit or poor import from ArchiCAD.

This won't solve the problem, but will pinpoint it.

Cheers,
Have you tried opening the object and adding the 2D symbol? No GDL knowledge needed. Select the door, then go to file/libraries and objects/open object (command+option+O on a Mac). Replace the 2D Full View with what you want to see in plan.
