Yes, as described here:

http://www.archicadwiki.com/Windows%207

Graphisoft Tech Support is doing a really good job of getting these Wiki articles written and updated on a pretty continuous basis. Good for them.

Something I did not know until reading that article is that Win 7 Home Premium does not have the ability to run older programs in XP mode, and so Graphisoft advises Profession or Ultimate editions.
Microsoft naturally won't publicise this, but if you have a licensed copy of XP (that you are not already using), you can install the equivalent of XP mode on Win7 Home or Vista. This method uses VMware Player and doesn't require hardware virtualisation either.

Has anyone tried this to run AC v. 12 and earlier?

No or almost no problems with AC 12, 11, 10 - even 9 - but Windows is trying to say AC 9 is not compatible - but runs it.
I did not do a thorough tests on 9 - and I had the full installed dir copied not installed under 7.

I use w7 / 64 bit.

I use AC 13/ 12 on daily basis, sometimes I had to run older projects that were created in 11 and 10 - so I opened them in those versions.

Best Regards,
I have Vista and AC9 had some issues even on Vista:
1. The Amyuni driver does not work.
2. You have to install the Java from the AC9 install CD to be able to install AC9. Then it is installed correctly.
These issues may or may not arise under Win 7.

Piotr could you give us more information about the problems you faced with the older versions? Also, apart from the actual "Program Files\AC9" folder, did you copy the relevant folder from "Application Data\Graphisoft" or did you just ignore those?

In other words, is AC9 self-contained like a portable application?

Thanks for your inputs.
