Excel to Archicad

Aside from copy/paste..

is there a way to link an xls file into Archicad ... say into a worksheet?
Im asking for linking procedure because, as the excel is updated it would be nice if the link in archicad also updated with the most current information.

running Archicad 12 on a Mac!!

Save the excel file to a pdf and link the pdf to AC. When you change the spreadsheet just overwrite the previous pdf.

This sounds interesting as I have a schedule I'd like to re-format. How do you link a pdf file to AC?

File > External Content > place External Drawing

place it in your preferred layout.

I think there has been requests for something on the lines of what I think you were hoping for, which is to update (or propagate) data in your .pln file from a .xml file.
Things like client name, address, (info stuff) etc, etc.
And stuff into your schedules.
However, I don't think that is possible in off the shelf AC.
But someone may come along here shortly and knock me off the shelf.
(Happens a lot, and rightly so):-)

Used to have OLE ... XLSs abounded ... Word also. Sigh ...
