Not a problem...all elements of IFC imported come in as one layer.....go to layer manager and unlock IFC layer in layers and unlock all locked layer combinations....all elements are now able to be edited.....find and select enables you to access elements, or direct select.....I normally create new layers according to my need and transfer elements accordingly....material appearance can be changed for post visualisation....all IFC elements come in as an IFC Blue...hope this helps.....exporting from Solidworks 2014 to AC 17

<T>Hi,

I have a model originally created in Solidworks and then exported as an IFC through Archicad 17. The objects turns out ok but they are "grouped", same as thet were in SW. I think it has something to do with the "IfcElementAssembly" definition. I can't find anything in archicad about this. Is it possible to "turn off" this definition?

Thanks,</T>

Can you show a screenshot of the result in ArchiCAD so we can see what the exact problem is?
I suppose that several objects get imported into ArchiCAD as one object, but I might be wrong.
