<T>Hi,

I've imported a Tekla IFC steel fabrication model with generally great results except for one problem - tubular steel columns are being imported as complex profiles that have been inverted from a circle to a 4-segment star. Each of the 4 sectors of the circle have been flipped.

This is a translator issue as the model looks fine in Solibri.

Has anyone had any similar experience and/or know of a solution?

cheers,
Have you/can you test it in ArchiCAD 15?

I've found IFC translation to be far superior now.

If you like I can try if you upload the file or part of it.

Cheers,
Link,

Two steps forward, one step back - was just about to post as you replied

The AC15 version has translated the columns correctly, but now has dropped off some struts and has a few beam cleanup issues not present in AC14.

cheers,
This has been requested before.
Unfortunately, there is not an unlimited amount of space on the forum server so this is why the size of the attachment has been limited to 256 KB and one attachment per post.
You may also zip the images and post the zip file.
Or you may upload the images to a web page and include the link in the post.
