Hello,

When ArchiCAD opens DWG's it uses the last used
plan scale as a scaling factor.

If your original DWG looks fine at 1/100;
- make a new ArchiCAD file
- change the scale to 1/100
- open the DWG

Hope this helps.

Text Block Import problem from dwg files

<T>I have recently moved jobs and have changed from ArchiCad 10 on a mac to ArchiCad 11 on a PC. My colleagues use autocad and whenever I import a dwg format drawing generated from autocad, the text is usually much larger than on the original autocad file. When I select and re-size the text, the text blocks remain at their original size and extend well beyond the actual text. I find I then have to manually drag the corners to reduce the size.

Could anyone please advise if there is an import setting that could resolve this problem and if not, if there is a way of quickly changing the size of the text boxes to match the new text size.

Alternatively, is this a matter of the way in which the autocad files are being created and saved?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks</T>
