What I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction on is...how do I make this "door list" NOT show every single door like in a "door schedule" rather show the typical U.S. door types as created in just about every single generic construction documentation set in the U.S.

but...what I'm looking to do is to make "ALL Similar doors" to show up as a one door type.
As you can see from my latest screen capture...the "red" circled doors are the same "type" of door as are the "green" circled doors.

Yet...in the DOOR LIST they show up as different doors eventhough I have the check boxes toggled on the upper left hand side......so what I'm trying to accomplish is....to make ALL doors that are the SAME TYPE OF DOOR to only show up once in the DOOR TYPE legend.

it's standard operating protocol in the AEC industry.

rob,
When you say you want ONLY the DOOR TYPES, what is your definition of DOOR TYPE? There is nothing in your schedule called DOOR TYPE.

I, erroneously, thought you meant door panel types as seen in the 3D front view. If that isn't what you meant, then again, what is your definition of DOOR TYPE?
re the 'show uniform items...' only works if ALL the parameters included in the schedule are the SAME.

In your schedule, for example, take the doors 1,3,5,9, 10, 11

-all have the same door panel type as shown in the 3D front view BUT

- Each has a different 2D Symbol
- there are at least 3 different widths
- each has its own ID number

Yes.....what I mean is the same "door panel type".

In the biz, you could have a door that is 2'-6"x7'-0" and another door that this is 3'-0"x6'-8" YET...these two doors are the same "type". Perhaps when you stated "door panel type" I should have said "yes" I need all the same 'door panel types' that are the same type to be listed only ONCE.

So..yes, "door panel type" to only be shown in it's 3d front view display on the "DOOR TYPE" list only once.

Sorry....it's tough explaining in words precisely what I mean.

so, I had it right to begin with in the panel schedule.

I typically have what you call a DOOR TYPE schedule as I illustrated separate from the door schedule, but on the same page. The door schedule includes the custom parameter for the Panel Type/Door Type.

Look at your schedule. Now take out all other parameters that similarly differentiate doors that share a panel type but differ in other respects.

OK...let me elaborate on this.
I did take out the "door size" from the parameters and when I did that it only showed me 1 door...one basic door.....and wiped out all the other door panel types.
so..as soon as I added back in the door size....it showed the different door graphics.

Rob,
Go back and reread my original response.
The reason you ended up with 1 door, actually you should have got two D1 15 and D2 15, as these are the two library parts that you used/show in your screenshot.
What you are really wanting to do is schedule are the door PANELS, not the library part. There is no door panel parameter that can be scheduled, so I added the custom one assigning type A, B etc to get around this.

Create a new schedule following the steps I illustrated.
