Annoying and a little odd that the exporter needs to be updated each time it's only a simple material referancer that you would think wouldn't be effected each and every release. I don't know if they all actually require a rewrite/recompile or if sometimes it's just the version setting. Presumably there is something more to it in this case or they would have done it already.
