topic DWG export with single XREF for multiple layouts??? in Collaboration with other software

<T>One of my (major) clients needs to update some of the DWG's I send them in house for their use. Lately they have been telling me that it is a "problem" that the dwg's I send them have multiple XREF's in them, so that when they modify one thing here, they need to do it in multiple files.

For example, if I have an overall plan and an enlarged plan in two layout sheets and export to DWG, each of those sheets will become two DWG files, with two separate dwg files that they reference.

Ideally, it should be two sheet files referencing ONE xref file, with different scale and different layer combinations.

Is there any way to do this?</T>
