topic Autocad is going parametric in Collaboration with other software

<R>Hi,

This is interesting, ( competition is good for ArchiCAD) :
While ArchiCAD went Into direct modeling ( a necesary step though ) Autocad seems to go on the opposite direction.

to be more fair, Autocad has introduced a sort of pus pull tool since autocad2007 ( if I'm not wrong) and then nurbs ( loft...etc), Now it is attacking the parametric side. on the other side ArchiCAD had a parametric engine, but lacks freeform tool , intoduced them In the upcoming version (16) but still miss some parametric tools and nurbs...

The whole point is to compete with Generative Componants and Grasshopper; ( having "played" with Grasshopper I think ArchiCAD still miss some tools to compete with them, graphically, at least_ if even it is an objective for GS )

Good reading...</R>
