Assuming this is purely a bifold door object and can't be used as a swinging door you can also over-ride the default orientation.

Open the door script.
Click on the "Details" button at the top.
Choose "Custom" orientation and type in what you want.

No matter how the door is placed the orientation will be what ever you typed.
But note you can not change it unless you resave the object.

Using a parameter as Eriks suggested is probably the best way.
You can just add a new parameter and save the object.
Then you can type in what ever you want in that field (and create favourites if you want to).
Or if you are into GDL scripting you can have that parameter automatically change to what you want automatically based on the set up of the door.
I.E. left swing, right swing, bifold, sliding, etc.

<T>When I enable the swing orientation on the door schedule it labels bifold doors as left or right swinging based on how I "mirror" the door. I would like to just substitute the word "bifold" for the "L" or "R" that shows up for the swing doors. Is there a way to do this automatically so I can set it up as a "favorite" door this way? If not, is there a way to override the door schedule cell for that door so it will say "bifold?"</T>

You can use one of the Parameters for Listing such as Operation Type, or one of the User Defined parameters. Add this parameter to your schedule. If you enter the word Bifold under operation type then it will be saved with this favorite.
