Hi. You have probably assigned a layer set to that schedule which does not include that layer. Try turning on the layers on your floor plan then click the get current settings for that schedule. Hope this helps.

Locked Layers in Schedule

<T>I have created some schedules with columns as custom text. I fill out some text in these boxes. When I go back to the schedule I try to click in this column and add/change text but it says that "the item selected is on a hidden layer".
I have tried to close the schedule, turn on all my layers, and then open the schedule but the same thing comes up.
Now why would this be happening?

Also when I save the schedule as a view from a suitable floor plan, open it then close it, my floor plan has many layers turned on (but not all layers).</T>

Thanks for the info.
Have tried with all my layers on in the floor plan. Doesn't make a difference.
also happens in schedules with and without layers assigned in the criteria.

Try this.
1. Open the schedule in question.
2. Open layer dialog and turn on desired layers.
3. In Navigator-View Map single click to highlight schedule and click the 'Settings' button below drawing list.
4. At the top of the settings dialog click 'Get Current Window Settings' click OK

That should assign the layers you want with that schedule.

Hope that helps.
Hi Mark,
I didn't get the screen shot, but that's ok. I followed through with your suggestion thanks.
With the schedule open I can switch on all layers and that works, but if I close and open it again the layers are still locked. Even when I've got the 'Current Window Settings'.
Will have to just switch on all layers each time, and check in future what layers are showing when I create the schedule.
