AC 17 opening dwg issues

Has any one had issues with opening dwgs in AC17?

I have a dwg file which was published from AC16 and every time I try to open it AC 17 crashes. File is only 5.18MB.

Just as an added note the file opens with no problems (although a little laggy) if Xref'ed on a worksheet. :?

Thanks for sharing this workaround. Please send the original DWG to our UK support and they will be happily assist you. We will check the DWG to address the problem in the code of AC.

Two Hotfixes down, and a couple emails this issue is still on-going how can this be!!!!!!!
