ROOM FINISH SCHEDULE - need some help.....

need some help with my finish schedule.
Can't seem to edit the "floor finish" column....it's got these ---- that I can't seem to access.

Can someone point me to the light?

Is the floor finish actually editable in the zone itself or is there a parameter switch perhaps to make it editable?
If you can change it in the zone then you should be able to change it in the schedule.

where do I find that "parameter switch" you speak of?
is it in the "zone object" itself? or in the schedule settings??

Also be sure that the layer is unlocked and visible.

I would be more concerned that the EXACT parameter EXISTS in the zone object that you've placed.

When creating the schedule, did you choose this as CHOOSE ANOTHER PARAMETER (button)? or was this schedule already made up?

If the parameter that is "requested" in the schedule does not match exactly the parameter in the objects you are scheduling, it is (obviously) not editable...

Let me know if this does not make sense...

still a bit confused?
from my "Schedule settings" I can see that the "floor" variable is in there...yet it's the only variable that doesn't allow me to edit it?

How do I make it "editable"??

Nutshell... If you used an old schedule to start with and it had this parameter called FLOORING, it might not match the parameter you see as FLOORING in your current zone object... That's because each parameter has a PARAMETER NAME and a DESCRIPTION.. We only see the DESCRIPTION when we look at the dialog box of the object...

So the old schedule could be referencing a parameter NAMED gs_flooring with a description FLOORING and your current zone object has a parameter named gs_flr with a description FLOORING.. they are not the same parameter...

So the FIX is to go back to your schedule SETUP box, go to the ADDITIONAL PARAMETERS and CHOOSE ADDITIONAL PARAMETER... Navigate to the EXACT ZONE OBJECT that you're using in your plan and find ITS "Flooring" parameter.

You can see that if you use a couple DIFFERENT Zone objects, they must all have this parameter defined EXACTLY the same or some will be editable and some will not...

Sorry I've been away for a few days.

It will be in the zone settings if it is there at all.
Some zone stamps have the option to show or hide certain settings.

But as Duane was referring to you may not even have the parameter for the floor finish in the zone.
Or the perameter you have in the zone may not be exactly the same parameter that the schedule is referring to.
