Or out of the game depending on your length of time using ArchiCAD.

There was a time when Simpson Strong Tie provided there products as ArchiCAD .gsm library parts. I still have some of them I think. I liked using them very much. Perhaps someone would like to upload a link to the library for us ? I don't know if I can find it on my old hard drives.

Wow, seems like nice direction for residential, if the total expense is reasonable.
On their web site the truss system (at least at first glance) looks tempting.
Thanks for the link Steve.
Maybe G.S. could entice them?

The catch is that you probably have to be a truss manufacture to get anything more than just the SAPPHIRE viewer.

I am always disappointed when I fine another web site offering things for Revit and AutoCAD but not ArchiCAD.

I wish Graphisoft would initiate a new division of Product Development who would make it their job to develop more add-ons / plug-ins for thins like this. Go to any manufactures website that provides CAD files, plug-ins, etc.. and they almost never have anything for ArchiCAD, while at the same time the number of sites with stuff like this for Revit is growing exponentially.

Some pressure might be brought to bear in the reverse direction Steve. We're gently inquiring about IFC files from manufacturers as interoperablity gains some momentum.
Nothing drives change like a client.
