STP & IGS format conversion to 3DS?

Attention developers!

There seems to be a distinct lack of translation from the 'popular' IGS & STP file formats from SolidWorks etc.. to 3DS format (for import to ArchiCAD of course)
There are a lot of plumbing & other manufacturers making their products available online in these formats.

Is there anything out there that I've missed? (for OSX in my case, but Win would also help the other 95% of the world!)

Otherwise, can this please be added to the 'Wish List' for ArchiCAD Santa?

an 'IGS in' and an 'STP in' add-on

If you want it to be added to the Wish List, make a Wish in the appropriate Wish Forum. Then people will vote on it and if it is highly supported then GS will probably consider it for future versions.

I agree with Gerald and will vote for IGS as a minimum because in my opinion we need at least one surface export/import file format which will not triangulate co-planar surfaces and convert them to meshes.
