<T>Hi,
I am using AC 17 on a Macbook and am having issues with the 3D Studio In Add-On to convert .3ds to .gdl
It currently will not convert properly, either the file doesn't convert just freezes and has to be closed down forcing AC to use its Auto-Save function or it converts but does not have a 2D symbol and cannot be viewed in the 3D window.
I have tried everything I can think of to solve the problem.
I have checked that my AC 17 is up to date, which it is.
I have restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the Add-On, tried it in AC 16, tried it in numerous files (old and new) and tried numerous different .3ds objects, but still am given the same result.
Can someone please shed some light on the situation and provide me with a solution?
Thank you</T>

I just tried it and it works with AC17.
It could be that the original 3DS file is too big to process.
Also verify that the object is not in your embedded library.

I have tried it with multiple 3DS files, some big, some small, nothing changes.
The object appears in the embedded library but doesn't hold any information, no 2D symbol no 3D script.
