The CutMyTimber owner and founder Stefan Schneider explains on this example how various steel and timber parts of a high end custom home can be manufactured using the latest CAD/CAM and CNC technology. All parts have been modeled up using 3D Fabrication Information Modeling (FIM) software. The parts have been digitally transferred to multiple robotic cutting machines. No shop drawings have been created to complete this multimillion dollar custom home. Tremendous cost, time and material savings could be achieved using this manufacturing method.<BR />
