Tried that already, no luck. Can't delete it, it doesnt appear to even create the cut out.

Because it's an extruded slab, to create the wall panels. I can model it differently if needed. But do SEO's work at all when exporting as IFC? After a basic slab test I believe not unless I am missing a setting.

I've had no significant problems with SEOs and IFC.

In AC11 I had some elements appearing in Revit which represented some roof cuts using SEOs. They appeared as yellow wireframes and were easily deleted with no ill effects.

Perhaps if you set the SEO layer to wireframe.

Walls trimmed by the roof using SEO retain their trim, but not the SEO relationship.

Walls and slabs used to cut holes in roofs and floor slabs using 'subtract' do not retain either the holes or their SEO relationships.

Why did I think SEO would survive IFC?

The only trim action with SEO that even partially worked was the walls trimmed by roofs. The same elements trimmed with non-roofs , the evidence of trimming.

This is a BIG problem! GS needs to be sure that ALL modeling tools (including Complex Profiles, SEO, <S></S>etc<E></E>.) translate correctly <S></S>via<E></E>. IFC. If we can't get clean .IFC files out of ArchiCAD, we aren't any better than Revit users (without the large user-base).

I agree with David.

But overall I am (and my client) was pleased with the translation. To the average Revit user I doubt they would even know it originated in ArchiCAD. Just as many AutoCAD users dont know dwgs orginated in ArchiCAD.

As a workaround you can save your SOE as an object, then save your model. This worked for me.
