<T>Hi, i'm kinda new to the 3d max software and i've been trying to export archicad files into 3d max. I seem to get it right at converting but my problem is that the model is so small i cant properly zoom into it.
Can anyone give me a detailed walkthrough to get the conversion 100% correct?
Thanks</T>

As I can remember, you need to give it 1000x scale factor when you export it from ArchiCAD

Isaac_B -

I am having many of the same troubles. However, I have found a useful site that explains the process. Try this one first...

http://plugins.angstraum.at/archicad_wiz/faq.htm

and take a look here.

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/4381-arch ... ssues.html">http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/4381-archicad-max-scale-issues.html</LINK_TEXT>

The only way I got it to work, was doing a File>Save as>3ds in the 3d Window of archicad. I could not open it in max at all but found that I could open the file in Rhinoceros 3d to which I scaled it properly and then took it directly into max.

Hope this helps a little.
