Hi Barry
Sorry a bit late on this one.
It has to be a BUG. Neither the floor plan symbol nor the inside or outside elevations show the casings in the Schedule. Perhaps it can't be done because we still call doors 'back' and 'front' views rather than 'inside' and 'outside' views

<T>Hi, a couple of questions on interactive schedules:

1) Is it possible to add a footer with a custom text? Not date/project name/etc that are allready set?

2) Is it possible to have the Sunshade appear in the "3D Front View"?
Thanks</T>

1) Not that I am aware of - you are stuck with what they allow.

2) I'll take a guess on this one.
If it is a separate object then no it won't show in a window schedule.
But you would be able to create a new schedule that would look for this object.

If it is part of a window it should show unless it has been scripted in a way not to.
You would need to edit the script to get it to show.
I'd be guessing that in the 3D script of the window there will be a bit of code like ...

if GLOB_CONTEXT <> 6 then
script for sunshade
endif

If there is you can comment out the red bits.

But I might be wrong.
Is it a standard library part that we all have?
Ah, an Archicad window - they are very complicated.
Found it though in the master script of a macro called "WallholeFraming".

!==============================================================================
! Interactive Schedule and Listing related display options
! ==============================================================================

if GLOB_CONTEXT = 6 then
	if not(bShowCasingOnLists)	then bDrawOutsideTrim	= 0
	if not(bShowCasingOnLists)	then bDrawInsideTrim	= 0
	if not(bShowSillOnLists)	then bDrawSill = 0
	if not(bShowBoardOnLists)	then bDrawBoard = 0
	bDrawThreshold = 0
	bDrawShutter = 0
endif

I commented this out and the sunshade showed in the schedule.
Take a copy of it first if you are going to play around.
It is not a "Placeable" part so you will not see it in the library object settings dialogue.
You will only see it by going into the "open GDL object" command and searching for the file.

In the 14 library it is in ... ArchiCAD Library 14\Object Library 14\3. MACROS 14\Base Macros 14

You will need to extract it from the container file if you haven't already done so.
Hi there,

I am wondering if there has been any update on this - i can see the previous posts from 2011. I am using a standard Archicad Door 24 (AC 24) and have casing showing so it appears in plan, elevation and 3D correctly, however I have noticed the Door Schedule Elevation is missing the casing. I read on other posts in the community that casing and shutters need their scripts edited but I am hoping this has been addressed.

Thanks,
There has been no change that I am aware of.
I just placed a Graphisoft window with casings and a sun shade, and they didn't show in the schedule.
And I didn't see any option to allow them to show in the schedule either.
Hi David,
The casings don't show in the schedules because they are deliberately scripted not to - see the red text in my earlier post.
If you ask me there should be an on/off switch in the object to show them in schedules or not.
Or make it an MVO option maybe.
On a practical level, I have always used the schedules as a basis for ordering the window / door units, ordinarily in my part of the world I wouldn't expect to confuse the unit views with trims & linings etc. It may be different elsewhere? This is a grey area between objects that can show lots of associated elements and whether they should be combined into the schedule both as listing values & visuals. I have in the past listed lintels & sills in my schedules but I would always have separate drawings for these items. I would imagine shutters would be the same. Casings etc would probably be better addressed with standard head / sill / jamb assembly details?

I just played with it.

The "WallholeFraming" macro has a parameter bShowCasingOnLists to show the casings in a list.
The window object and the macros they call in the chain to the "WallholeFraming" do not have this parameter and so do not pass on the value of it.

I saved a GS window as a new window.
I opened the called macros and saved them as new macros and made sure they were called with the new names.
I added the parameter bShowCasingOnLists to the new window and all of the called macros.

Now I have a switch that can be turned on or off and it will show the casings.
I still didn't get it to work in plan view but I am sure it could (I think so any way).
It is not worth investigating further to see if it is possible as it is not wise to edit the standard GS library ourselves.

So if GS could add the required parameters to turn on/off the listings it would work.
Unless it is there somewhere and I have just not seen it.
I don't use the default GS library so am not too familiar with it.
