Another one that looks promising is Scan2CAD. I have not used it myself but I learned about it from a brochure that came in the box with a new HP Designjet. They have a very polished website, videos and 30 day trial. Plus the price is very reasonable for what it does. $250 US ($400 Pro).

Not as affordable as Raster 2 Vector but you may want to investigate both and see which is the better investment.

<T>Hi all,
I am looking for a raster to vector app since there is a need to convert multiple scanned drawings.
There are too many options on the net but which is more suitable for architectural drawings?

thank you</T>

I've used raster 2 vector in the past with good success.
http://www.algolab.com/r2v.htm

The trick was to prepare the pdf of image for scanning as it converts everything it sees to dxf! and that includes text etc. Avoid fat lines, shading or hatching on the target image.

Adobe Illustrator will do it. It will also save as DWG if needed.

Vextractor may help convert raster drawings to vectors (DXF), especially for not very good-quality scans.
