There are Interactive Training Guides (ITGs) for ArchiCAD on this page. On of them is about collaboration:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/learning/trai ... .html#COL2">http://www.graphisoft.com/learning/training_materials/itg.html#COL2</LINK_TEXT>

This is Part 2, Chapters 6-10 of this ITG. Chapter 8 has data exchange with Revit Structure, while Chapter 9 is about data exchange with Revit MEP.

Note: These files were originally made for ArchiCAD 13.
The most up to date version you will be able to download has AC15 version files, but I think they should work fine in later versions as well.

<T>Hi guys
does anyone have any experience of work flow above?
Have been told that IFC is the way to achieve this but have yet to find anyone actually doing this regularly.

Comments please

Thanks</T>

We found the ITG very helpful. We are still having a few problems, but are getting Revit MEP elements into ArchiCAD MEP, but it all comes in o the same layer. Does anyone know how to export from Revit & have Revit Systems translate to ArchiCAD layers?

In Revit you can create a mapping of which Categories should be translated into which IFC Types and Classes.
But when you import the IFC there is no possibility to place certain IFC Types to certain ArchiCAD Layers.
So I think neither program is equipped at the moment to directly convert Revit Categories to ArchiCAD Layers through IFC, although Revit Categories are really the euqivalent of ArchiCAD Layers.
