You should try to use the Survey Point object and then export to IFC with the appropriate IFC Translation Setup settings.
Watch this clip to get an overview of how it works and how to set it up for IFC Export:

<T>Hi there,

We have a model in ArchiCAD which has been setup on (0,0,0), but needs to be exported with specific coordinates for federation with other Autodesk models which are setup around survey coordinates.

So I know that we can't change the coordinates in the ArchiCAD file, but is it possible to setup a new separate ArchiCAD file with the correct coordinates, and link the existing model file via base point and then export the IFC from there to get the correct coordinates?

Or are there any other solutions people can think of?</T>
