Hi folks,

well ARCHICAD can export parameters of an library-object to defines block-attributes.
Also the room-information is possible to convert into room-block-attributes.

You have to use a proper DWG-template-file containing the blocks and layers which should be created during export AND you have to write a proper convertion-xml file.

It is no rocket science, BUT you will need some time to understand what you have to do...

Best regards from vienna,

<T>One of our customers has recently purchased a Facility Management tool. They request a DWG file (plan view) which will be loaded into this tool. We have received specifications for this file, where one recuirement states that for each room there has to be a DWG block with attributes that have as values the name and number of the room

I had hoped using the Zone tool, as for each room there is alrerady a zone defined containing the name of that room.

Can I edit the zone, zone category and/or the DWG translator so that a DWG with the aforementioned Block definition is generated?

greetz...
