topic Marker Fill issue with AutoCAD in Collaboration with other software

<T>I have created a very informative Site Plan for the client using AC10's "marker fill" and associated colors. Now I need to send a 2D background to the Civil Engineer so he can get going on his part. He is using AutoCAD 2002 and only operates in 2D. In the various exports I have tried, I have been unable to eliminate the "fill" to reveal JUST outlines. Is there an easier way or am I missing a step? Any help.. please! Thanks.
Open your Model View Options and set as attached, then save
a View Map in Navigator.
Open the translator and be sure to uncheck the fills settings.
