We want an object that can be used as a marker to flag H&S hazards on the building site. For various reasons it would be better to have it on the layout rather than in the model, but need a way of getting the content of them into a schedule.

The Drawing Symbol thing is a class of object defined in a custom object, that suggests how it will be used.

<T>Hi,
we've written a marker object (the Drawing Symbol subtype) which will be placed on layouts.

We've just tried scheduling it and it's not being picked up - is it possible for schedules to look at layouts?

Thanks.</T>

I think only Project Indexes can do something with layouts.

Since you can't schedule things in a Layout, the work- arround is not too bad at all.

In Layout, place the objects where you want to see them -
Copy and paste them to any location in a plan view -
Save that view and drag it into the layout
