<T>Hi,

During the modeling of bathroom details I noticed some annoying behaviour of revolve/spiral tool in AF2.0. I cannot revolve desired shape with zero radius, it always end up with 1mm off center (see attached picture). Am I missing something or it's a bug? Does anyone have the same problem?

Greetings</T>

This behaviour comes from some GDL limitation.
You can workaround it by using a polyline instead of a fill: if you use a closed profile you will always get the "central hole", if you use an open profile you won't get the hole...

look at the attached image.
Thank you Fabrizio for the reply. It works in most cases well but in this particular one I need to have solid element to drill a hole in it. Hollow one does not look very convincing. My workaround was to change the profile a little bit and add an extra gap to cover the hole, but it's just not practical to do this every time.
Anyway thanks again..

I'm really sorry but I don't agree with you: using an open polyline doesn't result an hollow element.
Please try: i just did a SOLID element by using this procedure.
Yes, you're right Fabrizio, my mistake . I guess I used to work the way AF 1.0 works where you make hollow alements with polyline and solid with fills (which I think is more intuitive). However I still cannot understand why there wasn't this "GDL limitations" you mentioned. Apart of many incredible improvements I found in AF 2.0 this one seems to be small step backward, anyway sinse I grab your attention maybe you can answer this not-FAQ:

1. Is there a way to set 'default' value for 'rotate' function? In 99% cases I use 90 degree rotation and it will be very helpful to have it set like that.

2. Is there a smart way to model/save models to make them as small as possible?

3. Like above but to save object with no "additional information". Let's say I'm happy with what I have and don't need to have possibilty of future changes?

Here you can find my recent work with AF2.0

Greetings and keep on good work.
