Should not take that long unless you have lots of windows.
Anyway why are you not using "Element Type = Window" so that AC does not have to evaluate every single object in the project?

Extremely Slow Updates in Schedules - Best Practice Help!

<T>Hola,

I'm asking this, mostly as a general best practice question, but also just in case I'm doing something wrong.

The slowest part of most of my projects is either changing one door then accidentally clicking on the schedule window, or hitting 'update' on a viewport to a schedule on a layout. Both of these scenarios force 5 minutes of spinning beachball then usually a very underwhelming feeling of despair.

Is there any way of speeding this up? Do people have 'editing' schedules with very few parameters? Is there a known number of elements you can attribute to a schedule before it grinds to a halt?

Attached is an example screenshot of a schedule that takes at least 4ish minutes to update.

Cheers.</T>

Because that's a great idea and I will be employing that from now on.

Thank you.
