I don't know anything about Solidworks so I don't know what it can do.
DWG can certainly be read by Archicad - just not sure if you will lose info in the converting process though.

If you want to transfer 3D elements then IFC may be an option if Solidworks can save as IFC.

Archicad can also open .SKP (sketchup) files - can Solidworks save to that format?

This isn't tech support.
Just a group of Archicad users that may be able to help you with a solution/s for your problems.

What formats can you save your objects as from Solidworks?
Compare that to the type of files you can import/merge into Archicad.
.3DS seems to be quite a common file type for objects that many softwares can save and read.
.OBJ may be another.

Archicad can open either of these.
.3DS needs an add-on that you can download from the HELP menu if you don't have it already.

Sorry Barry for the misunderstanding , solidworks can't save in the two ext that you said, but he can saved in igs format and after that can i convert into dwg format so archicad may open it.

If you agree with me i would continue in that direction.

Thanks again for answering me,
Yes igs via dwg is your only option
that will work importing, round trips is yet another story
From an engineers perspective translations directly via igs and parasolid would be welcome
