25% Solid Fills in AutoCAD?

<T>I'm converting a set of PLN docs to DWG and I'm having problems with the 10% and 25% solid fills I use for some materials and shadows in the elevations. (Carried over from the days of zipatone)

In the DWG format these translate as solid foreground fills in seemingly random colors. Are these kinds of fills not supported in AutoCAD? Or is there a setting in the translator that I'm missing?</T>

Okay, AutoCAD seems to think we're all still using pen plotters, so those partial screen patterns don't work. I'll work with vectoral hatch patterns, ie Rapidograph instead of Zipatone. Been there & done that, too.

I am having the same problem as you (I think), but can not find a easy solution to get the same look. I normally use 75% fill to cover certain areas on a section or elevations to give extra depth past "Marked Distance Area". However once it is exported to DWG, the fills (now hatch) become solid. Hopefully I am overlooking a simple solution.

What vectorial fill are you using?

Same problem here and carrying out a hatch redefinition exercise in LT is a pain

Not entirely sure, but I think that AutoCAD did not have transparancy options for fills until 2012 or so. Check that you are exporting to one of the newer DWG formats, maybe.

We use a diagonal vectorial line fill for shadows with a grey pen with a fairly thin pen weight. This exports fine to DWG, as far as I know.

Unfortunately, I am exporting to 2013 and opening in AutoCAD Architecture 2016. So that doesn't appear to be the problem. However, it could still be a simple setting in the translator that I am overlooking.

and if you don't have AutoCAD you can use Draftsight to create the template
