In 18 you can get the surface area for the inside and outside face of a wall using the wall fields.
But you can't get the surface area for each wall skin.

In 19 however you will have many more options.

<R>I'm trying to do some preliminary material schedules for a house. I have set up all of my wall types and slab types, and what I want to do now is to create a schedule that gives me the amount of material needed in square feet. I've looked through this help topic:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/tips/l ... tructures/">http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/tips/listing-component-data-of-complex-structures/</LINK_TEXT>

but all that seems to be built into archicad for the components is volume. It seems strange to me that they can calculate volume, but don't give an option for area (considering volume is area x height). Is there any way to get the area of individual components?</R>
