Could you post a desired list of resulting Element ID values?
For example:

A001-G-001
A002-G-001
A003-G-001

<T>Need help!
The ID Manager have 4 Fields where yo can input Your ID (number). You can choose to use Counter or text. if you use Counter, it should have a running counting number. (001-999). this in one of the Fields....
But if you choose to have 2 Fields active with a running counting number. the second Field do not Count (001-999)
is this not possible? to have two running numbers?</T>

Hi and thanks alot LaszloNagy. In your example you see my point exactely.
The first field, Field A, runs from A001 to A003. This is because the number is set to be running,
but if you see the other field G-001 to G-001, this field is also set to be running, but is always 001 and not 002, 003 etc.
A001-G-001
A002-G-001
A003-G-001
My goal is to have both fields to run.
A001-G-001
A002-G-002
A003-G-003.
Thank you.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to do this because only one of the four fields can be used as a Counter. This is a limitation of the tool.

Thank you for the fast reply. Do you know if there are any other ways to accomplish this? Any plugins? Or workarounds ??
I am trying to generate a code-string that has two different running numbers. The string uses parts of many parameters to generate the code. In this case i tried to get the two running numbers from the ID Manager:) But no such luck!!!
This has to be typed manualy....?
Thank you.

I don't know another way to modify Element IDs this way.
The one way I can think of is to use Element Properties.
Create an Element Property that you would use instead of the Element ID in Labels and Schedules.
You can then Export this Property using the
"File>Interoperability>Classifications and Properties>Export Property Values from Schedule" menu command to export them to Excel.
Then modify the values in Excel, which I think you will be able to do.
Then import the modified values using the "File>Interoperability>Classifications and Properties>Import Property Values into Elements"

Did you export Property values from an Interactive Schedule to Excel, then imported values for the same Properties? That is the only way it works. When Properties are exported, there are some hidden data in the Excel file that identifies that, that helps then during the import.
Is this how you did it?
