I have no idea where in the world you are, but is going to the SOLO edition a possibility? I believe that reads ArchiCAD .PLN files and is much cheaper than the full version.

<T>Hi guys,

I'm a sole practitioner so I bought Start Edition with that in mind, however at the time I didn't realize you couldn't open files from the full version of Archicad. The obvious solution is to upgrade to the full version, however if at all possible I'd like an alternative.

This is literally the only feature from the full version I need for when I'm sent .pln files from colleagues as has just happened. Surely there's an add-on/file converter or similar that can be used? I am aware of IFC export/import but it hasn't been overly reliable for me...

Cheers!</T>

You can't open 'full' or education version files in start edition, as far as I know.

There is also no way to save from 'full' version to those formats either.
