<T>Hi.

I would like to export a model from Archicad 8 to Solidworks, preferably in 3D, but if not possible then in 2D. I have tried exporting .dxf and .dwf but that only seems possible to get from the "top view", and I need it from another a "side view".

I hope someone can help me.
A rule of thumb for export:

2D views are exported from the plan or section windows.

3D views are exported from the 3D window. Experiment with file formats for the best mode of interchange. DXF will be the lowest common denominator approach and therefore probably wretched in terms of what you can do with the information exported.

If all you want are lines that's ok.
