Dear all

In setting up the office workflow, we are diving deep into Archicad<>STAAD PRO connectivity, via IFC. Bentley provides Integrated Structural Modeling module https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/3332/integrated-structural-modeling

Any feedback, or previous experiences, are welcome!

Dear @Djordje

I heard about the ISM workflows and had the chance to check more details recently. The foundation of this workflow is the Structural Synchroniser which can be accessed through API. Using the ISM API, theoretically any application can transfer an IFC file and then this can be accessed by STAAD and others.

One important point is that ISM workflows were designed mainly for exchanging information between engineering solutions and not between architectural and engineering ones.
