Hello, we are new to using the BIMcloud Basic Server and we have several projects that are now completed. We would like to remove those projects from our Teamwork list and the BIMcloud server and just have the project saved on our normal project server. I can not find anything in the help documents that walks me through the best way to archive a project so we have it saved on our office server and to remove it from our BIMcloud server. Any help would be appreciated.

At each milestone, backup your model and linked files to a conventional file folder system on your server. This includes re-pathing the BIMcloud libraries to linked libraries. Note that a PLN saved from a Teamworked model will still look for versions of the libraries that are hosted on the BIMcloud server. But you need to have the master copy of these BIMcloud libraries in conventional file directory format on your own file server and these are the ones that the PLNs should be referencing.

I hope this helps.

i'm also facing the same problem, that my computer hosting the BIMcloud basic is not almost out of storage. I want to move the whole BIMcloud basic to another computer.

@Ransom Ratcliff wrote:

At each milestone, backup your model and linked files to a conventional file folder system on your server.

IMHO, the best method for migrating BIMcloud Basic Server and its Teamwork projects from one server machine to another is to save all the projects as a solo (PLN) in the projects’ conventional directory on your File Server, and then re-share those solo projects to the new BIMcloud. (BTW, any version migration or library repairs, etc. should be done while the project is in PLN format, before re-sharing it as a new teamwork project. This is a good time to clean up your Embedded Library of any duplicates and unnecessary bloat.)

But before you re-share the solo project, you need:

All BIMcloud/Server Libraries in conventional file/folder format, in a dedicated place on your file server. (You should already be maintaining these versions as "Original Versions" anyway.)

You need to open each PLN and go into Library Manager and change which libraries it is loading. The PLN needs to load the conventional versions of any BIMcloud libraries, instead. When you share the PLN to the new BIMcloud, it cannot be loading BIMcloud libraries from the other BIMcloud Server.

If a project has any other models linked into it that are on the older BIMcloud server, they need to be migrated in the same way. I recommend migrating the linked models before the host model, so that when you get the host model onto the new BIMcloud, the hotlinks can be re-pathed and updated right away.

For background information, see Archicad Help on:

Save Local Copy of Teamwork Project

https://help.Graphisoft.com/AC/25/int/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapid=#t=_AC25_Help%2F080_Collaboration%2F080_Collaboration-11.htm

Join or Leave a Teamwork Project

https://help.Graphisoft.com/AC/25/int/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapid=#t=_AC25_Help%2F080_Collaboration%2F080_Collaboration-13.htm

Library Manager,

https://help.Graphisoft.com/AC/25/int/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapid=#t=_AC25_Help%2F020_Configuration%2F020_Configuration-87.htm

BIMcloud Libraries

https://help.Graphisoft.com/AC/25/int/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapid=#t=_AC25_Help%2F020_Configuration%2F020_Configuration-92.htm

Linked Libraries

https://help.Graphisoft.com/AC/25/int/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapid=#t=_AC25_Help%2F020_Configuration%2F020_Configuration-91.htm

Remove Library from Project

https://help.Graphisoft.com/AC/25/int/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapid=#t=_AC25_Help%2F020_Configuration%2F020_Configuration-95.htm

Teamwork Setup/Preparation

https://help.Graphisoft.com/AC/25/int/index.htm?rhcsh=1&rhnewwnd=0&rhmapid=#t=_AC25_Help%2F080_Collaboration%2F080_Collaboration-5.htm
