Hi all,

Are there any Topographical Surveyors who use ArchiCad as their primary CAD software? We have recently employed our own surveyor and he has worked for the past 20 years with AutoCad to process his surveys.

As we have ArchiCad in-house I don't really want to get dragged into the AutoCad votex if we can use our Leica data in ArchiCad to produce the same results.

What is it that you are trying to do?
Do you want to create Point Clouds in Leica, bring it into Archicad, and model your site/building based on the Point Cloud?

Hello

You can use LAND4 add-on built in Archicad!

In this way, you can import surveyor data or point clouds (supports LandXML, .txt, .csv, .xyz file formats ). If the points are classified within the file by the surveyor, during the measurements, with specific codes - those can be also imported in Archicad, thru Land4. Not the least, you can place the imported points in different categories (also using different appearence for each category).

Basically Land4 transforms the measured points into 3D objects (points). From here you can go further and create break lines, contours, level lines, etc.

All Land4 objects can be used in relation with Arhicad classic tools.

Take a look here:

https://www.land4cad.com/land4-for-Archicad/
