topic Save model with custom profiles as .dwg in Collaboration with other software

Hi all,

Version: Archicad 27

I am relatively new to Archicad, so I am sorry if the following question is a silly one. I just could not find an answer to it, hence this post.

I am using Archicad to create the basis for a VR environment. I am trying to save a model as a .dwg format. In this model, I make use of columns with custom profiles. These columns therefore consist out of a variety of materials. When I save the file as .dwg however, the different materializations in the custom profiles are ignored and it outputs a model where the complete column is one single object. Is there a way to save the model as a .dwg where these different materializations become different objects?

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Dennis

Try this:

1. Save a copy of the file.

2. In the saved copy, convert all elements with these Profiles to Morph.

3. Export as DWG, see if that preserves the materials.
