If the "Grid Systems and Elements" option is checked in the IFC Translator, then it may be the IFC Viewer and how it displays Grids, which are not solid geometry and some IFC Viewers do not display those.

I did a simple test: created a simple Grid plus 4 Walls, exported the 3D as IFC and checked the result in three different IFC Viewers:

-The first one was a free online IFC Viewer - it did not display the Grid.

-The second was the Autodesk Viewer - it DISPLAYED the Grid.

-The third was Bonsai BIM (Blender Add-On) - it DISPLAYED the Grid.

So, it may be your IFC Viewer that does not display Grids.
